Fergus wasn’t pleased. He had been looking forward to having a lazy day. But Mrs Coddle had brought her cat Marigold to stay at the farm for the day.

“Humph!” he thought grumpily. “Cats are trouble!”

Fergus finds a quiet corner of the barn to snooze in.

Meanwhile, Marigold certainly is trouble. She scares the hens. She chases the ducks. And then she pulls the pigs’ tails. With all the animals hiding in his barn Fergus decides it’s time to move somewhere else.

However, a gust of wind surprises both Fergus and Marigold.
